Jary "Q" Quiñones, Psy.D. provides psychotherapy and psychological assessment under the supervision of Dr. Megan Sullaway. Dr. Quiñones completed his doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in forensic psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute, and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Dr. Quiñones is fluent in English and in Spanish. Dr. Quiñones recently retired from the Los Angeles Police Department after 25 years of devoted service. His area of expertise was in Detective Investigations covering various specialized crime units. Dr. Quiñones completed two tours in the United States Navy Medical Corp as Psychiatric Assistant and subsequently worked as a Psychological Readjustment Counselor for Vietnam Veterans and families at the Veterans Administration Outreach Center. He has worked with people suffering from a variety of disorders and issues. He enjoys working with clients of all different ages, genders, socio-economic status, ethnic groups. He has worked with fire fighters, law enforcement officers, soldiers, and gang members.
Dr. Quiñones worked as a Mediator/Facilitator with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Dispute Resolution Program, was a Peer Counselor for the Los Angeles Police Department, and has acquired a Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Specialist I certificate from the Department of Homeland Security, National Fire Academy
