Anger Management
In this group, the participant will develop new approaches to managing anger through information, discussion and experiential exercises. Participants will gain insight and develop skills for effective assertion and communication.
The group typically consists of 10 to 15 participants. Our groups are open-ended, allowing individuals to begin as soon as they are ready. Each group is 90 minutes and is offered on a once-a-week basis.
Anger management groups are: Wednesday nights 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. This schedule is effective December, 2009.

Educating individuals about how anger effects them
Identifying triggers for aggression
Problem solving for conflict resolution
Relaxation training for impulse control
Anger response prevention
Transforming aggression into appropriate constructive behavior
Developing coping strategies to manage anger
Developing communication tools to improve relationships
